Tinker Bell and the Day of the Dragon - Disney Comics Group - ★★★.¼

SERIES: Disney Fairies Graphic Novel #3
GENRE: Children's Graphic Novel.
PUBLICATION DATE: October 26, 2010.
RATING: 3.3 stars.
꧁ Third graphic novel of the Disney Fairies series ꧂
❁ Contains five stories focussing on Tinkerbell and her fairy friends. Tink is present in every story, though not always in the main role.
❁ Again, Tinkerbell, Terence, and Vidia are the only main movie characters present in these stories. The book-only characters continue their appearance from the earlier two graphic novels, but honestly, none of them is impressive enough to make a mark.
❁ The stories are mostly decent, one-time reads. None of them made me go wow or ewww. Only one story was really good in this book.
❁ Only on reading this third book did I realise that Tinkerbell is a ‘pots-and-pans’ fairy in the book series, not a ‘tinkerer’ as in the movies. Sounds like a demotion to my ears!
❁ Simple text, easy to read for the target age group.
❁ Same feelings about the graphics. Great colours and background sketches, okay character detailing.
❁ Officially for ages 6-10 years.
❁ Story-wise ratings:
🧚♀️ The Cobweb - ⭐⭐✨
🧚♀️ The Fox and the Fairies - ⭐⭐⭐✨
🧚♀️ Fairy Riddles - ⭐⭐⭐
🧚♀️ Talents After a Fashion - ⭐⭐⭐⭐
🧚♀️ Day of the Dragon - ⭐⭐⭐✨
Overall average: 3.3 stars.
This graphic novel series is going just about average. As this book is borrowed from my library, I am completing it just for the sake of completing it. My reading buddy who had wanted this book in the first place has already ditched me for a Soman Chainani novel.
I don’t have much hope from the next book, but my edition is the combo 4-in-1 volume, so I might as well complete the set.
This was a library read. Not a must-read; just good for a library borrow.
