About Me

Hi there!

Thank you for visiting my little nook on the vast internet.

I am Roshni (she/her) from Mumbai, India. I have always loved books and have been a reader for as long as I can remember. I began with Enid Blyton stories at the age of five or so, and was immediately captivated by her world of imagination and fun. Then at the age of fifteen, Jane Austen's "Pride and Prejudice" entered my life, and my passion for books took a whole new turn.

While I have been a voracious reader almost all my life, I began reviewing only in 2020. I love reviewing the books I read because it is my little way of giving back to the community, be it fellow readers or authors. I always provide a detailed and constructive feedback on why a book clicked or did not click with me.

I like reading any and every genre except poetry, erotica, paranormal, biographies, and self-help/inspirational.. My go-to genres are (but not limited to) historical fiction, literary fiction, contemporary fiction, drama, and thrillers. Children's books, graphic novels, and women's fiction are like palate cleansers to me. I read them in between intense books and enjoy the relaxation they bring.

My goal is to read at least 300 books every year and review all of them. I don't discriminate across publishers, and read books from top publishing houses, small presses, indie publishing houses, as well as self-published authors. I read physical books, digital books, and audiobooks, and enjoy all three of them equally. Books are books, after all!

I began my reviewing journey with Goodreads, and it soon became one of my favourite virtual places. Currently, I am the first-ranked in the "Best Reviewers" category on Goodreads (India) and have 2590+ followers there, a majority of them from the USA. I am also in the top 30 in the same category at the Global Reviewers level.

I am an ARC (Advanced Reader Copy) reviewer for NetGalley, Edelweiss Plus, BookSirens, StoryOrigin, Voracious Readers Only, Library Thing, BookSprout, and Himalayan Book Club. In addition, I participate in blog tours for Zooloo's Book Tours, TheWriteReads, Random Things Tours, Rachel's Random Resources, Love Books Tours, and Coffee and Thorn Book Tours. I am also the Founder-Admin of Readers Forever! - a Facebook group for all lovers of the written word in any form.

This blog is just a way of collecting together my reviews from over the years in a single location. (It's a process that's still on-going. Hardly one-fifth of my reviews are here on this blog. Sigh!

Thanks again for stopping by. I hope you are enjoying whatever book you are currently reading.

If you are an author, do check out my reviewing policy HERE before you get in touch.

  1. Hi Roshni. I used your contact form to request you to kindly review my historical novel, A Remarkable Stillness, recently published by Western Australia Indie publisher, Leschenault Press. But the form went blank after I pressed Send so my apologies if I have sent this message twice. Kindle link: https://amzn.asia/d/cixENJf

    1. Hi Jonathan, I didn't get any email from you, so thanks for trying your luck through the comments. Your book does look very interesting, but at the moment, I am not accepting any review request for WWII fiction as I am somewhat saturated of the genre. I wish you and your book the very best. Have a lovely day, Rosh.
