The Monster in the Closet - Anton Eine

AUTHOR: Anton Eine

GENRE: Fantasy, Short Story
RATING: 5 stars without a doubt!

In a Nutshell: What can I tell you about how adorable this story is! Loved it!

Five year old Jimmy knows that there is a monster in his closet. His mom doesn’t believe him, claiming that monsters don’t exist. His dad, however, knows that Jimmy is old enough to be equipped with serious anti-monster weapons: a powerful LED flashlight and a Jedi sword. Tonight is the night Jimmy has decided to battle it out with the monster with his new armaments. After all, he has also had his mom’s anti-monster cookies. How will Jimmy fare? Read and find out.

I have read quite a few of Anton Eine’s works by now, and he hasn’t disappointed me even once! All his works have had elements of fantasy and yet the characters battle quite human problems. This story is no exception. I though I knew where it was going, and it did go there, but not exactly how I had assumed. I can’t reveal much as it is quite a short tale. Suffice to say, it held me engrossed throughout.

This is one indie author you should NOT miss out on. And if you want a free taste of his works, try this short story. It will be a great story for children too.

This little short gem is available for free on the author’s website as well as on Barnes & Noble.
