A fun bedtime story.
Little Landon is afraid of bedtime for all the obvious reasons. But when he sees a light shining from under his bed, his curiosity overcomes his fear and he decides to investigate further. What he finds is…. uh-uh….You need to read the book and discover this for yourself. 😉
I thought it will go the usual way of having monsters under the bed and then maybe the monster would turn out to be friendly. But I was absolutely wrong. I didn’t expect what was “under the bed” and children too will be surprised to see the revelation.
The language is quite simple and would work well for read-alouds. It is not written in rhythmic prose but in easy sentences. The illustrations are cute enough.
Overall, a nice and cute read with some unexpected turns along the way. This will reduce children’s fear of monsters under the bed but it is sure to raise other questions about whatever was under the bed.
